I wanted to see what Ganja Giri was all about at the Tongue N Groove, Aug. 13.
The Australian duo were all about “good hoodoo” as they did interesting things with a couple effects laden didgeridoos, a computer and some percussion.
They laid down a mesmerizing groove, which had a good sized entranced crowd swaying in front of the stage, capturing the groove.
He attached a variety of effects including a what sounded like a vocoder to his didgeridoos, ended up singing through one of them.
The didgeridoo player put down his instrument and shared centre stage with the percussionist/ vocalist for a rap, grinning and holding his arms out to the audience to draw them into the hypnotic groove.
