I caught the end of the set of a new Lethbridge band, playing a Robbie Burns Day celebration at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Jan. 21.
The Junkman’s Choir were winding down their Robbie Burns celebration for a rapidly thinning crowd. The trio combined a couple guitars and some excellent violin and even a touch of sassy saxophone.
They played a touch of Celtic tinged traditional folk, but still ended up sounding like a more sedate Plaid Tongued Devils on a couple more exotic numbers.
