The Tom Savage Trio always seem to have bad luck with poor turnouts when they play Lethbridge.
Granted there was a lot going on, Sept. 20 when the Kingston, Ontario based alt-country trio , but I felt sorry for them.
They still blew away the approximately 10 people there with some high octane country tinged rock.
They played a few news songs, a few from their best known CD The County Line and a few covers of songs by Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt and had plenty of hot guitar solos backed by a solid groove.
They cut loose on extended bluesy jams complete with drum solos and were having a good time despite the small numbers.
