The cast of Evil Dead The Musical started  things off on a ghoulish note, by performing a medley of their favourite songs from the Hatrix Theatre production, which invades the Moose Hall, Oct. 30-Nov.8.

The Evil Dead the msuical cast entertain at the zombie art show opening. Photo by Richard Amery  There were excellent harmonies, macabre humour and a chainsaw killing. If their performance was any indication, Evil Dead the Musical will be a lot of fun and a pretty amazing experience. They provided the perfect background music for the assortment of unusual zombie themed  art hanging from the walls.

Andrew and Julie Scott provided most of the entertainment with a lot of goofy humour from Andrew Scott, a little bit of acoustic blues and some upbeat country folk. They played a few originals and some choice covers including an Iris Dement song and a rollicking version of Fred Eaglesmith’s “I Like Trains.” before slowing things down a touch with Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
