Komenac’s work is inspired by comic books and pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His works feature comic books and pop culture figures placed in unusal settings, with humourous captions

Icons and Idols also features woodcuts by Lisa Brawn.

She is an Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) graduate who has exhibited work in galleries across Canada and the USA.  She also operates Sugar Cube Gallery in Calgary.

Len Komanac is a University of Lethbridge graduate and has shown work in many local galleries.
The exhibit features your favourite musicians, Hollywood starlets, fictional heroes and more.

With the stunning painted woodcut portraiture of Lisa Brawn and the satirical comic book panel approach of Komanac, the two artists play off each other's strengths to assemble an impressive group of work.
"Icons and Idols: Recent Work by Lisa Brawn and Len Komanac" is curated by Tyler Stewart. The event opens at 7 p.m.
There is a five dollar cover.
