Mindil Beach play beautifully soulful rock

E-mail Print PDF

Vancouver experimental rock a and soul band Mindil Beach made and auspicious Lethbridge debut at the Owl Acoustic Lounge Oct. 17 for a good sized audience. Mindil Beach playing tasteful soul and rock music. Photo by Richard Amery

They showed some impressive   musicianship especially on the stunningly beautiful instrumental “All the Same Speed” which segued nicely into a  solid cover of  the Cranberries’ ’90s hit “Zombie.”

The rest of their show featured a very heavily reggae rock and pop influenced set, which features lots of tasteful playing and even some impressive rap while Patrick Codere changed his guitar string.

All the while they  provided a  toe tapping, funky groove.
