CKXU celebrates a Prince of a FUNdrive

E-mail Print PDF

CKXU members  celebrated a successful FUNDrive by getting together to sing some Prince.
At $21,545, this year’s  FUNDrive pledges well exceeded their goal of $20,000.

I only caught a couple of the Prince tributes put together for the show.

The band doing “ Purple Rain”  featured Amberlea Parker, dressed as Prince, complete with fake moustache on vocals, Benjamin Maine on synth, Nathan Kunkel on guitar and  synth,  Matthew Rederburg on drums, and Steve Martin on bass.

They kicked off their set with “ Let’s Go Crazy,” which was an apt description of what the delirious CKXU crowd wanted to do.
