George Arsene plays the Slice

E-mail Print PDF

The Slice has reopened and can always be counted on for live music on Fridays and Saturdays plus their open mic on Thursdays.

George Arsene playing the Slice, Nov. 12. Photo by Richard Amery
Saturday, Nov. 12, featured George Arsene playing a solo set.

I just missed his first set and had to wait a while for his second set or earnest roots/ folk music.

He opened  with   A Tyler Bird song “ Detroit 318,” and did a serviceable Tyler Bird impression. He followed up that with “Lucky Stars  and then tried to lead the intimate audience in a singalong, by which time I had to leave in hopes of hearing another gig, Scythia at the Smokehosue, which I ended up missing.
