MTBC play solid show for Owl

E-mail Print PDF

The spirit of the ’90s alternative rock was strong with local band Molly the Boy Cat, aka MTBC who played to a pretty packed Owl Acoustic lounge, Saturday, Jan. 13.

They played a tight set of Pixies inspired ’90s alternative rock showcasing the vocals of Rob Cooper, who’s sound reminded me of local band the Supervoid and their vocalist Jon Vornbrock.

Silvana Campus supplied the bottom end with big base and haunting background vocals.

Drummer Garwin Poff laid down a solid beat and Quint Viskup showed his prowess on guitar, rather than the bass I’m used to seeing him play.
