Shaela Miller Threesome and the Record Holder pack the house

Shaela Miller and Paul Holden at the Slice, May 13. Photo by Richard AmeryYou never know what will happen during Thursday shows. Sometimes nobody will show, and others, like  May 13 at the Slice with the Record Holder and the Shaela Miller Threesome, the people were packed in wall to wall. It helped the show actually started on time. People love Shaela Miller, that’s a given, but the Record Holder held their own with an eclectic mix of musical styles, cool grooves and great melodies which had the crowd dancing. The Record Holder. Miller was in fine form with a couple upbeat sets of old style country music, most of it from her new CD ‘Love is Brave.’ Plus she threw in some classics from Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline.
Her second  set had  some of her older, more popular  favourites including ‘Vicious Bitches,’ ‘Station,’ my favourite ‘Manchester,’ and  my new  favourite ‘Lonley,’ as well as  her  song ‘Loving Me,’ which won the South Country Fair Songwriting  competition last year.
