Jesse and the Dandelions started things off by played a strong set reminiscent of the Violent Femmes, and John K Samson of the Weakerthans with just a touch of Pet Shop Boys pop.

They had a strong Violent Femmes’ influence throughout and to nail it down, ended a set of crowd favourites like their van song which had the audience singing along, with an excellent cover of the Violent Femmes’ ‘Blister iJesse and the Dandelions kicked off Ghostwood Records, June 5

The Living Luca played another excellent set of upbeat original hard rock music of bone crushing guitar riffs played at ear crushing volumes.

Lead singer Bridgette Yarwood was a blur of energy, dressed in pink and bounding all over the stage while belting out  an impressive array of original songs including several old NSR songs like ‘ Stick It Out.’ Smokestack Jacks and the Necessities were also on the bill, though Sleeping With Tuesday had to cancel.
