The zombies were out in force at Average Joes, following the zombie walk, Oct. 23.
The show started late with local blues punk duo Smokestack Jacks who were a fearsome sight dressed as bloody zombies.
They played their usual strong set of slide guitar powered blues which had a lot of zombies in front of the stage.
I missed the Living Luca’s set, but was pleased to hear Bridgette Yarwood singing backup vocals with Sleeping With Tuesday, who played a lot of their latest CD Shuffle including “Ska Sally,” on which Yarwood sang beautifully.
They also sang numerous amped up ’80s covers including the Cars’ “Just What I Needed,” as well as Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.”
