A good sized crowd came out to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, May 17 to celebrate the life of popular scenester Sarah Plumer. While I missed the all ages gig at the Moose Lodge, I caught some of the after party at the Owl Acoustic Lounge. I missed David McKillop, but caught a superb, though familiar set from Redrum Triumph, which started late around 11:30 p.m..
Kelsey Jesperson and Steve Foord played a variety of upbeat, yet haunting songs including a spooky version of “You Are My Sunshine.”
They took turns playing a variety of instruments including mandolin, guitar and violin.
Lethbridge punk band Stressed Out were to finish off the night.
Before that, at the Moose Hall, several performers played including MaseOne, Reborn Extinction, the Dregs and Cold Gold.
The events were a fundraiser for Savong Grace: To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit organization which helps people suffering from depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
