Cirque Du Soleil brings Quidam to Lethbridge

Photo by Richard Amery young girl’s escape into a world of imagination, trying to escape  apathetic parents and a boring life by going to  the world of Quidam with the help of a nameless passerby.


“ It’s about the society we live in today and one girl’s  attempt to escape from anonymity we all share,” summarized Nicole Whitmore, Cirque Du Soleil promotions team leader.


“It’s about the girl Zoe who visits the land of Quidam, a land where everybody is free to be who they are and she learns to like who she is instead of who her parents want her to be,” she continued.


“He parents are distant, her father is always reading the newspaper. then she meets a passer-by  who gives her a bowler hat, which is a portal to the world of Quidam,” she said adding there is a lot of  fun happening on stage including clowns, contortionists and acrobats.
“The human statue is really impressive,” she said.
 The show runs at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. There will be  matinees on Friday and Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as well as 1 p.m. in Sunday. There will also be a late afternoon performance at 5 p.m., Aug. 5. Tickets range from $45 to $105
