David Newberry adds many different styles to new CD

At first listen to David Newberry sounds like he wants to be Bob Dylan, but with  a pedal steel guitar and a banjo on his latest CD “No One Will Remember You,” which will be released on March 15.Click here to hear David Newberry
There are a lot of different sounds in here from  “Rock Bottom,” which is reminiscent of Canadian alt country acts like  the John Henrys and the Warped 45s with a touch of the Drive By Truckers, to more traditional folk and country sounds. He also picks up the volume on a couple and can send shivers down your spine with the choral powered chorus of the title track No One Will Remember You.

And the first track ‘All the Apples in the Basket’ is reminiscent of the Shins.
He also has more traditional sounding modern pop singer songwriter material along the lines of Jack Johnson on ‘Hold On.’
‘So It Goes is a world wearied highlight.
He ends his CD on a high note “To Hope,” which is punctuated by mournful pedal steel guitar and mandolin.
