March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest party days of the year the world over. It is the day of the wearing of the green when everyone finds a way to claim they are a little bit Irish, quaff immense amounts of green beer, and party to the timeless lilts of Celtic and maritime music. The ultimate St. Paddy’s Day party in Lethbridge will be at Coyote Joe’s where one of Newfoundland’s great musical groups, Shanneyganock will perform their stirring ballads and rib-rattling shanties and reels. Shanneyganock have been presenting their high energy Newfoundland and Irish influenced music with true grit and enthusiasm for the past 20 years. Where else but in St. Johns could this happen? Mark Hiscock and Chris Andrews were double booked to perform in a local pub. To solve the problem they decided go on stage together. They were later joined by the rest of the band and they have been together ever since resulting in thousands of albums sold and standing room only crowds wherever they go. Tickets for the March 17th show are $25.00 and can be purchased in advance at www.thejoe.ca, or at Average Joe’s Sports Bar. Any remaining tickets the day of the show will be $30.00. The doors at Coyote Joe’s, 1025 Mayor Magrath Drive South will open at 6:30 P.M. The show will start at 8:30. To make this an extra special St Patrick’s Day event, the evening will also feature an appearance by the Lethbridge Firefighters Pipes and Drums. The show is proudly presented by Rock 106 Radio.

Many bands have come and gone in the 16 years that Shanneyganock has playing around. But this band from St. John’s Newfoundland is still going and is working harder then ever. They have been constantly touring Canada, down into the U.S. and over to the middle east. They have ten CD's and two DVD's released which have garnered them many ECMA and Music NL nominations and awards.
