Ross Neilsen and the Suffering Bastards rock the blues again

E-mail Print PDF

Ross Neilsen and the Suffering Bastards blew a handful of people away, Nov. 25. Photo by Richard AmerySomewhere between Grady and Doc MacLean laid New Brunswick blues rockers Ross Neilsen and the Suffering Bastards, who returned to the Slice, Nov. 25 to play an incendiary set of uptempo, fingerpicked blues rock.

Though there weren’t a lot of people, the ones there were into it and the lack of numbers  didn’t stop Neilsen and the Bastards from giving it their all.

Neilsen alternated between a couple different guitars and sat back to let his band shine, especially his bassist who showed his chops on a couple slower numbers.
