Dyeing Merchants play laid back Sunday

E-mail Print PDF

Sundays are a slow day for most people, so if they do go out —  and very few do, they  usually want to listen to something to chill out to.The Dyeing Merchants playing laid back indie-rock. Photo by Richard Amery

That being the case,  a handful of people were at two laid back Sunday shows, Aug. 14.

A handful stopped by the Owl Acoustic Lounge to see Victoria based indie rock trio the Dyeing Merchants.

They shared the ambient, layered and textured Radiohead meets U2 sound that a lot of west coast bands are doing these days.
So the two guitarists and drummer laid down a mellow set of clean, delay heavy music  reflecting those influences. They had some interesting sounds and hypnotic melodies, just putting people in the mood to relax.
