Quirky folk with Fish & Bird

E-mail Print PDF
An interesting Wednesday show, Aug. 24, featured Fish & Bird, who played a late announced show at the Owl Acoustic Lounge for approximately 17 people.

They threw everything into the mix inclFish & Bird played a late announced show at the Owl. Photo by Richard Ameryuding an array of instruments  including banjo, violin, stand up bass, guitar and drums and a cornucopia of influences which they blended into their own brand of quirky folk music.

There was some sexy jazzy grooves set down on the stand-up bass and some superb vocal harmonies.

They laid down a pretty steady, almost hypnotic groove, switched instruments and cracked quirky jokes.

Their music included jazz grooves, blues soul, a touch of bluegrass arrangement and lots more.
