Shaela Miller and pedal steel player Danny Dyck along with bassist Tyler Bird played a solid show at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, June 2.
I only caught Shaela Miller’s set, though Danny Dyck opened with his own set for about 30 people which swelled to about 50.
There were a lot of familiar songs, mostly from her last CD “Love Is Brave,” including crowd favourites “Loving Me,” which drew a couple dancers.
She gets better and better and has a lot more confidence on stage. Her voice is becoming deeper and sexier with a big, beautiful midrange.
Dyck stepped up from behind the pedal steel to don a guitar and sing lead on a couple songs as well as several duets.
