George Arsene fronting Rancho Deluxe. Photo by Richard AmeryRancho Deluxe features  some of the best musicians in the city backing George Arsene, so it is a given they were going to provide a good show.

They played the Slice June 23 for a decent sized crowd. Their set included  a variety of country -folk tunes, some of Arsene’s originals and unusual covers.

Tyler Bird  switched between guitar and  stand-up bass while  Taylor Ackerman traded off on steel guitar, guitar and bass.

Ryan  Dyck concentrated on his pedal steel guitar while Brad Brouwer kept the beat  on drums.
They wound down their set with George Arsene picking up a mandolin for a version of “Under the Boardwalk.”
