Betterhalf put own twist on drums and bass

E-mail Print PDF

The Owl was also packed on Wednesday, Aug, 22 for a trimmed down show featuring Aaron Trozzo and Silvana Campus’ new drums and bass duo Betterhalf and Fist City. Unfortunately Teledrome, who I really wanted to see cancelled because of personal band related issues. Betterhalf playing drums and bass. Photo by Richard Amery

Betterhalf played a solid, if somewhat atonal set of upbeat rock, heavy on the bass which was reminiscent of  Mr. Bungle and Nomeansno and ’90s/ 2000s Winnipeg drum and bass duo Duotang.
Unfortunately I missed most of a super fast set of uptempo punk and rock from Fist City, other than half of their last song. It was nice to see them briefly again.
