Strained vocal chords blamed for Stone Temple Pilots cancelled Lethbridge show

A press release issued on the Stone Temple Pilots’ official website states  Scott Weiland has been put on 48 hours complete vocal rest due to strained vocal chords.


 The release continued to state the cancellation will allow them to complete their tour, which is next scheduled to be in las Vegas, Sept. 20, irvine California, Sept. 22 and Sacramento California on Sept. 23.

 The Stone Temple Pilots  formed in the early ’90s  and released their debut CD “Core in 1992.

 They went on to win a Grammy Award in 1994 for their sophomore CD “Purple,” and recorded a string of modern rock hits throughout the ’90s and early 2000s including “Sex Type Thing,”  “Plus,”, “Big Bang Baby, “Interstate Love Song, “Creep” and “Sour Girl.”
