Method Man of rap icons the Wu Tang Clan promised to “smoke some weed and kick some ass” was as good as his word, March 9 at  Studio 54. Method Man, sporting a flourescent yellow shirt and matching gloves had an enthusiastic crowd cheering in front of the stage who were eager to relive the ’90s.

He got the party started by shouting “How many of you remember the ’90s?” as they cheered their approval. So he rapped some Wu Tang Clan  hits, and some of his own material transporting everyone in the room back in time about 20 years a they raised their hands in the air and chanted along with “We say Wu, you say Tang. Wu, Tang, Wu Tang.”

He gave a shout out to Wu Tang Clan members past and present and  performed a catchy number called Takao, then called for a bottle of champagne to brought to the front of the stage, which he drank from then passed around the enthusiastic audience.
