Tyler Gilbert played a set of upbeat folk music at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, June 8.
He held the stage for a good sized crowd, just strumming his guitar and singing.
Edmonton’s Yes We Mystic played a fascinating multi-instrumental set after that.
The had some great vocal harmonies and alternated instruments throughout the set of indie rock music played on traditional instruments including a mandolin, fiddle and a twanging Gretsch. They added extra percussion by tapping on the side of their instruments.
Unfortunately I missed Alyssa McQuaid’s opening set.
