“It’s a lot of work, but it’s the kind of work I’m used to doing,” said Stagger, who released his tenth CD “ Dream it All Away,” earlier this year.

The first single  “ Something Beautiful” is getting airplay on CKUA, community and college stations and modern rock  and alternative stations including the Bridge In Lethbridge and PEAK in Calgary.

“A lot of the PEAK Performance competition is in Calgary, but the boot camp (Where participants learn the ropes of  the music business s for a week.) is in Princeton, B.C.,” Stagger said.

2015 kicks off year two for the Alberta PEAK Performance Project, a seven year, $4.9 million program designed to kick-start the international music careers of 3 emerging Alberta artists annually. The project is administered by Alberta Music (Alberta Music Industry Association) and funded by 95.3 The PEAK through CRTC approved Canadian Content Development Funding.

“ The winner gets $100,000 to help them in their music careers, which would be a great help to me. I’m releasing my albums on my own. I don’t have any record label support. But at the very least it has been very inspirational being around all of these talented musicians,” he said.

“The boot camp is in Princeton, but I’ll have to come back home for a few things, then go back out west to play Vancouver. So it will be a lot of driving for me,” he said.
“ Even placing in the Top 3 would be great,” he said.
