Calgary indie rock band the Ashley Hundred returned to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Oct. 10 to play for a good sized crowd.
But a pleasant surprise was opening The Fox Who Slept All Day making their Lethbridge debut featuring Ashley Hundred guitarist / keyboardist Andrew Frank.
While a lot of bands play ambient, dreamy, groovy indie pop music now, the funky, groovy, jazz inflected They always play a solid set and did the same this time.
The bass playing of Austin Caron made the Fox Who Slept all Day stand out.
Franks and Conor Mead laid on layers of delay heavy guitar and took turns singing spooky melodies ad drummer Maxwell Haupappa kept the groove going.
The Ashley Hundred played in a similar vein, but added extra ambiance with banjo for their set of beautiful ambient indie rock.
