Spree Killers end deadly night of punk at the Moose Hall

E-mail Print PDF

I missed most of the bands playing a frenetic punk show at the Moose Hall, Friday, Sept. 30,  including the Spacewolves, Paint the Damage and Artificial Dissemination, but arrived just in time to catch East Vancouver punk band Spree Killers.

Lead singer Fanni Adams jumped all over the stage and showed some impressive vocals, which  were more metal styled and a touch operatic than her usual blood curdling shrieks, though there were a few shrieks.

They had a frenetic mosh pit happening in front of the stage with most of the good sized audiThe Spree Killers’ Fanni Adams at the Moose Hall. Photo by Richard Ameryence participating.

They sounded more like a classic metal band along the likes of Iron Maiden than usual.

But they still had punk intensity but with big riffs and even a few harmonized guitar solos.

They ended an intense set with “Dead Girls” from their self titled full length album and tried to get the audience to shout along with the chorus.
