It is always great to see local musician Brenna Lowrie play live.
She made a long awaited return to the stage, March 18 at the Owl Acoustic Lounge backed by a solid band including drummer Clayton Smith and bassist Kurt Ciesla.
She played a strong set of powerful ambient , haunting indie rock music, mostly focusing on music from her latest CD.
Lowrie remained on stage, this time standing behind a keyboard to play with local band Unbroken Circle, who had so many members that a couple of them had to play standing on the floor instead of the stage.
Unbroken Circle, fronted by Adrian Sutherland played a long, loud, weird set of experimental, ambient noise created from bass, keyboards, mandolin and ambient guitar which sounded like a mix of darker Pink Floyd and Tool.
Sutherland brought back a few memories of his punk trio Advertisement, by thrashing around on stage, wandering onto the floor and bellowing.
