It is a little slower this week with Christmas parties coming to the fore.
This week is all about supporting local, because some of Lethbridge’s favourites are back on stage.
As always, the Owl Acoustic lounge’s usual weekly open mic is tonight, Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Jazz night is at the Watertower Grill from 6- 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Local favourites the Chevelles host the Small Business Christmas Party with Cal Toth providing the dinner music at the Coast Hotel.
Cocktails are at 5:30 p.m,. dinner is at 6:30 p.m..
Tickets are $57 individual, $470 for a table of eight and $530 for a table of 10.
There is a lot of local music on the weekend.
Honkers Pub is Closed on Friday for a Christmas Party, But JD will be performing on Saturday instead of their usual Saturday jam.
Taylor Ackerman’s Global Acid Reset return to the Slice, Friday, Dec. 11.
They have released “Doubt Freaks Us Out, their third CD in less than two years and fourth since 2017.
This CD shows off Ackerman’s more psychedelic, soul and R and B side.
The show begins at 9 p.m. There is a $10 cover.
Adequate brings the funk back to the Owl Acoustic lounge on Friday, Dec. 10. Admission is by donation.
Cal Toth brings Dueling Pianos back to the Place on Friday, Dec. 10. Anna McBryan and Kate LaRocque will be tickling the ivories with him.

If you haven’t done your Christmas shopping, then support local a while listening to some local music at Exhibition Park at the Holiday Lethbridge handmade Market.
CRD (Chris Ryan Drew) kicks things off bright and early on the Living Room Stage at 9 a.m. followed by Shyloh Haberman, Corduroy Brown with Makiisma and Gabriel Thaine closing off the stage at 2:15 p.m. Admission is five dollars.
Things get rocking Broadway style at the Owl Acoustic Lounge which brings back Lethbridge Musical Theatre’s Broadway Karaoke a from 1-3 p.m.. Admission is by donation.
Saturday evening begins early with a special blues show with Paul Kype and Steve Keenan, who play the Geomatic Attic’s downtown venue at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15.
Shaela Miller brings back the Windy City Opry to the Slice, on Saturday, Dec. 11.The Windy City Opry Revival, originally scheduled for September, was postponed to Dec. 11. She will be holding court with Calgary’s Amy Nelson and Edmonton roots/ country band The Bobby Tenderloin universe. As a bonus, Calgary blues musician Erin Ross will be joining them. The show begins at 9 p.m. Admission is $15.
The Owl Acoustic Lounge also has a rescheduled show on Saturday.
Calgary ’90s punk stalwarts Belvedere were supposed to rock the owl in October, but had to cancel.
They will be returning to the Owl Acoustic lounge on DeSaturday, Dec. 11 in support of their reissued “The Revenge of the Fifth” album,.
Local punk bands Sessions and the Youngbloods will be joining them.
Tickets are $22. The show begins at 9 p.m.
Rudz Crew return to Casino Lethbridge on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. each night.
Edmonton comedian Brett Forte returns to Good Times, Dec. 10 and 11.
