They Owl Acoustic Lounge has been proceeding cautiously in light of Covid, so just announced their weekend line-up pretty much the day before they were to play.
So I caught Keenan Pezderic playing as Shallow Lilac with help from TJ Waltho playing the Owl’s house piano, Saturday, Jan. 8.
Pezderic was centre stage paying drums and singing.
He wound up his last set of hits with a soulful version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In the Dark,” and showed off his falsetto on Prince’s “Purple Rain,” before calling it a night with a beautiful version of the Beatles’ “ Hey Jude.”
