Coda bring the ’50s back to Honkers Pub

Honker’s Pub went back to the ’50s for a sock hop on Saturday with Coda Blues, focussing on the ’50s, June 18..

 I only caught the end of the show. There were still a few swing dancers as the band played some ’50s pop and needed with Johnny B Goode.

They played a fun set of ’50s favourites for an enthusiastic audience, who had  trickled down to just a few hard core dancers  by the time I arrived.

 

 They were called back for an encore of  “Mustang Sally” and  Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “ This House is Rocking.”
