A good sized crowd was at the Owl Acoustic Lounge raising money and awareness for the July 21 Shelter Me : Party In The Park.
Ira Provost and friends along with the Junkman’s Choir and a couple solo artists, entertained the crowd at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, May 12.
The band was playing a variety of covers including Billy Joel’s “You Might Be Right,” and John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Hurts So Good” and several classic rock songs from bands like CCR but they also played an upbeat country-rock style original.
They had the crowd grooving and a couple dancing in front of the bar.
The third annual Party In the Park features live music, face painting, children’s activities crafts and a lot of fun for the whole family. This year it is July 21 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The event is designed to raise awareness about homelessness in the community and bringing the community together.
