Sarah Burton ready for official release of Make Your own Bed

Toronto singer songwriter  Sarah Burton will be returning to Lethbridge for the second time in as many months,

“ I love Lethbridge and can’t wait to come back,” said Burton, spending her last day in Vancouver jamming with Willhorse to prepare for their show together, Aug. 8.


 She is also getting ready for the official release of her new adult contemporary album “ Make Your Own Bed,” which features a lot more of Burton playing piano.


 She will be playing her solo show in Lethbridge on guitar and piano.
“It will be a little bit of both,” she said.


“ it is going to be a pretty intimate set for the people  at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, so , I’ll play some new music and hopefully have some good stories to tell,” she said.
 Though the album hasn’t officially been released yet, she is selling copies off the stage.


“ It’s gone pretty well. It’s getting some good response and it is always fun to play new material,” she said adding she has enjoyed the summer so far.
“ It's going well. We haven’t had any car accidents or speeding tickets.”


She has also played several big music festivals including the popular ArtsWells in Wells, B.C..
“ It was so much fun. There were so many bands,” she enthused.


 She is looking forward to getting back to Toronto for the official CD release for the new CD.


“And  I’ll be playing with my other bands (electro / power pop project) Hot Peach — We just released an EP and ( her country  project) the Ole Fashioned.


 The show begins at 9 p.m., Aug. 18. There is no cover for the show.
