March is ending with a roar and that’s no joke,  with April Fool’s Day on the horizon there is plenty of entertainment happening.

Start the week tonight, Monday, March  27  at Mojos where Luke James Bruce is hosting an open mic.

 

 The Lethbridge A And District Music and speech Arts Festival winds up with  performances all week and the Stars of the Festival concert, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Southminster United Church.

 

 Music at Noon continues in University Theatre on Tuesday, with Megumi Masaki and Keith Hamel performing at 12:15 p.m.

 The Owl Acoustic Lounge’s weekly open mic is on Tuesday.

 

 Paul Holden and James Oldenburg return to the Water Tower Grill  to play some jazz music  beginning at 6 p.m.

 The Slice’s weekly open mic is Wednesday.

 Gabe Thaine hosts an open mic at Theoretically Brewing on Thursdays beginning tab 6:30 p.m.

 

 Get ready to dance at the German Canadian Club on Thursday, March 30 as the Geomatic Attic hosts a  blues and rockabilly dance party with rockabilly band Peter and the Wolves and blues rock trio MonkeyJunk. Tickets are $50. The show begins at 8 p.m.

 

 Peter and the Wolves have had a busy week in Lethbridge as they were also at the Slice, on Friday. They also play the Red Tie gala at the Coast Hotel on April 1 for the United Way which recognizes the dedication and hard work and spirit  of individuals in Lethbridge.

 Tickets are $150 for dinner, the ceremony and the show. Things begin at 5 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction followed by dinner and then the music.

 

 The weekend  features a lot of comedy.

 Faris Hytiaa return to Good Times, Friday and Saturday. He has a solo show and Friday and joins  Conner Christmas for the  Broke Woke Comedy show on Saturdays.

 Yuk Yuks comedy returns to the Canadian Brewhouse, on Friday, March 31 with  Malik Elassal.

 

If yo enjoy Who’s Line is It Anyway, Impromptu’s  Fool Gold Edition is  Saturday at  Didi’s Playhaus beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are pay what you can. 

 The Slice rocks blues style with Calgary blues musician Marcus Trummer and  Brayden King, Friday, March 31. Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door. The show begins at 9 p.m.

 

 Folk rock collective I Am The Mountain return to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, march 31 with  Max Hopkins, March 31.

 

 JDS play a live music show at Honkers Pub on Friday.  Circle Ridge Country host Honkers Pub’s open mic on April 1.

 The Slice goes country on Saturday with Kevin Peters and his band the Burnt Edges plus Calgary psych rock/ country/ punk band  band Battle River which features members of Zuckerbaby,  the Von Zippers, the Daggers, the Jack Union and the hi Strung Downers .There is a $10 cover for the show.

 

 Get ready to party ’90s style at the Place with the Cody Hall  band and 90 X Over on Saturday, April 1. Things get radical beginning at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover for the show.

 The Lethbridge Folk Club has a big show on Saturday  with Fernie folk/ bluegrass duo Redgirl featuring  banjo, guitar and  ukulele player Anie Radish and  lead guitarist/ mandolinist Michael Hepher and opening act Kavanagh and Hepher. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the Lethbridge College Cave. Tickets are $35 for non-members  and $40 for members.
